We need your input!
Hi, we are researchers at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and are working for the EU to make virtual reality (VR) accessible to everyone. We are dependent on your help! We are currently looking for people of legal age with physical limitations who would be willing to talk to us this summer (2024) in a max. 90-minute interview (German or English) about their experiences with and/or assessments of VR.
You do not need to have any previous experience and you do not need to use VR technology for the interview or be familiar with it. However, if you are interested, you can try VR out in our VR lab before the interview. The talks are planned as one-on-one sessions, but we can also do small group sessions (4-5 people) if needed. Our building at KIT is completely accessible, but if traveling to us is a problem, we will be happy to come to your area or talk to you online. We generally compensate each participant with 50 €.

What you can expect:

  • You have the opportunity to try out VR on our premises.
  • We will conduct a max. 90-minute one-on-one or, on request, group discussion at our premises, in your area, or online at a mutually agreed time.
  • You will watch videos showing various aspects of VR and we will talk about your assessments and/or experiences
  • Topics include, for example, the possibilities of interacting with and within VR or the representation of yourself.
  • We will treat your data anonymously, it will not be possible to draw any conclusions about you personally.
  • You will receive €50 compensation from us for your participation!

Conditions of participation

  • 18+ years
  • Physical limitation
  • You are fluent in either German or English
