Feedback Variants in Movement-Based Video Games
Contact / Primary Investigator: Maria Aufheimer
Conducting the Study: Louisa Schumm
This study aims to investigate how different feedback variants in movement-based games affect player experience.
The goal of the study is to examine the effects of a custom developed game prototype on player experience and motivation. The prototype includes four different feedback variants, which are the focus of the investigation.
Participation in this study involves playing the prototype in all four feedback variants, completing a short questionnaire after each game round, and taking part in a brief semi-structured interview at the end. In total, participation takes about 45-60 minutes and is remunerated with €10.
The target group for the study is adults (18+ years) who are able to perceive audiovisual feedback and perform full-body movements to control the game.
