We want to evaluate how different techniques that notify Virtual Reality (VR) users of bystanders are experienced and what their impact on experiential qualities such as safety and presence can be.

Total effort: approx. 45 minutes

Language Options: English or German

Compensation: Snack and soft drink

 

Study Procedure:

  1. Introduction
    •  Explanation of the study and the VR system
  2. Four VR sessions (5 - 10 min each) where you…
    • … play a game in VR with one of our notification techniques
    • … fill out questionnaires about your feelings of safety, presence, and performance
  3. Wrap-up with text questions regarding your overall experience and how you compare the different notification techniques

 

You can participate if you:

  • are minimum 18 years of age
  • speak English or German
  • want to participate in VR research
